Set Yourself Apart From The Crowd
The last two weeks of July and the whole month of August are often seen as the quietest time of year in the property industry.
As a vast proportion of the UK's population make a dash to the coast or jump on a plane to chase the sun, the market goes quiet.
Many people thinking of selling their homes wait until September before calling in agents to give them valuations. However, there is a strong case for making plans for your property while the sun shines and before the back to school rush.
We always recommend people call us in before September. Why? Well to get your property ready for market isn't a five minute job.
To do it properly, like we do at Normie and Company, takes a little bit more time. A photographer needs to visit and capture your home in its best light, accurate descriptions need to be written up and uploaded on the all-powerful property portals, interested buyers on our database need to be notified and a personalised social media campaign needs to be designed and produced. If you do all of this before September then your property will have an edge.
By having your property ready to be marketed from the 1st of September you will be two to three weeks ahead of people putting their homes on the market after the summer break.
This can be the difference between your home standing out or being just one of many hitting a crowded market once the kids have gone back to school.
